Phyllis Naylor was one of three honorees at the National Coalition Against Censorship's annual celebration of free speech and its defenders, held on November 12 in New York City.  Ellen Hopkins, author, and Chris Finan, president of American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression, were the other two. Phyllis notes, "It was a hilarious evening, emceed by Jon Scieszka, that featured the auctioning off of original children's book jackets (which would never pass the censors). The audience was also treated to a video parody of both the documentary March of the Penguins and the much-censored picture book And Tango Makes Three."
