Coming in April: How Far Do You Love Me?
Lulu Delacre's How Far Do You Love Me? will be released in late April by Lee & Low Books.
In this imaginary voyage spanning different cultures and all seven continents, the reader is transported to some of the most spectacular places on earth, carried by messages of love. Originally composed in Spanish and translated by the author's daughter Verónica Betancourt, the poem is illustrated with Sennelier soft pastel large scale drawings. Lulu reports, "My first foray into the 'love genre,' this is a book for children, their parents, and all those who love to travel!"
March 2 at 10:00 a.m. she will present a free program based on this book at Reading: A Family Affair at James Lee Community Center, 2855 Annandale Road, Falls Church, VA, Room 112. On March 13, partnering with Turning the Page, she will visit MacFarland Middle School in Washington, DC. And on March 20 she will speak at the Kennesaw State University Conference on Literature for Children and Young Adults in Georgia.
