The Children’s Book Guild is delighted to welcome KPMG’s Family for Literary as an organizational member.
KPMG’s Family for Literacy (KFFL) program provides children from low-income families with new books that they can keep for their very own. In collaboration with First Book, an award winning nonprofit social enterprise with over two decades of experience in delivering new books to children, KFFL continues to reach far and wide to help eradicate childhood illiteracy. The success of KFFL has been achieved by harnessing the energy and enthusiasm of KPMG’s extended family, including its partners, employees, spouses, family members, interns and retirees, as well as professional golfers Phil Mickelson and Stacy Lewis. Since its inception in 2008, KFFL has provided more than 2.5 million new books to children in need in more than 100 communities across the United States. Global expansion has begun in India, Mexico, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Locally, KPMG's Family for Literacy works with 15 schools in MD, VA and DC, donating books to children in need, providing author presentations and setting up in-class reading events. KPMG’s Family for Literacy program generously sponsored the 2015 Children’s Book Guild Nonfiction Event.
