Next Guild Monthly Lecture, Thursday, March 19, 2020 -- CANCELLED
Annual Business Meeting and Guild member presentation with author Debbie Levy, a former lawyer, newspaper editor, and award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction for children. Two of her most recent books reveal unique personal stories about civil rights in This Promise of Change: One Girl’s Story in the Fight for School Equality,” with Jo Ann Allen Boyce; and our most famous current Supreme Court Justice in I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes her Mark. Please note a change of meeting time and venue: this is a free, combined annual business meeting and monthly lecture at Cleveland Park Library. Business Meeting (for Guild members only): 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Please bring a brown bag dinner; no food will be served. Public Program (open to all guests): 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Updated Monthly Speaker Series Ticket Policy*
Please note that, beginning June 2019, ticket reservations for monthly lectures may be cancelled and refunded only prior to 3 days before the event. After that time, you are responsible for payment.
If you cancel a reservation for a pre-paid ticket via Paypal before the registration deadline date, you may do either of the following:
a) Request our Registrar to apply your Paypal payment to the cost of a future monthly lecture; or
b) Request a refund from our Registrar. Please note, however, that in this case Paypal’s processing fees are non-refundable.
If you have made a reservation but wish to cancel later than 3 days prior to the event:
a) You can transfer the ticket reservation to someone else. You may ask a friend to assume your reservation, and settle up privately with her/him/them; or

Lecture: Ron Charles of The Washington Post's Book World will join us in a conversation about books and book publishing, reviewing, ebooks and ereaders, and the production of "The Totally Hip Book Review."

Speaker: Guild member Kathy Crutcher of Shout Mouse Press will speak on mentoring young writers.
No cost. This will be a "brown bag” event. Please bring your own refreshments from home or from take-out eateries which abound in the immediate neighborhood.
Note: While there are parking lots and street parking in the vicinity, the Cleveland Park Metro (Red Line) is steps away from the newly renovated Library.!--
